Dear Sybase User;
Please join us on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 for the next Toronto Sybase User Group (TSUG) special event! TSUG's mission is to create a Sybase community in the Provincial Capital of Ontario where users can share knowledge, experiences, and best practices. Users of all Sybase products, including data management, tools and mobility are welcome to attend. This meeting will feature networking opportunities, product updates and a discussion.
The Toronto Sybase User Group (TSUG), ISUG and Sybase are pleased to invite you to join us for our next meeting on Wednesday, October 8, 2008. We are bringing the top presentation topics from Techwave direct to you so you can learn what's new at Sybase. As always TSUG gives you the opportunity to share knowledge, experiences and best practices with your peers.
We planned a full day agenda that gives you the flexibility to participate in the sessions that apply to you. When you register you will have the option to choose the morning session, afternoon session or both. Please indicate on the registration form so that we can plan accordingly. The morning session will introduce you to new technologies in data management such as ASE Cluster Edition, and the IQ Appliance that runs on IBM who is one of our sponsoring partners for the morning session. In addition, we will hear from our other sponsoring partner Lumigent on Data Auditing.
Our afternoon session will focus on development tools. First, we will hear from John Strano on PowerBuilder 11.5. We will give him a break so to hear from our afternoon sponsor Novalys. Strano will then return to discuss PowerBuilder 12.0. Finally we will wrap up with an open session so we have the opportunity to drill down on topics that are of interest to you.

The TSUG October 8, 2008 meeting will be held in downtown Toronto at the Metropolitan Hotel, 108 Chestnut Street, Toronto, ON M5G 1R3.

Mr. Anthony (Tony) Antonello is an eighteen year veteran of Sybase Canada. Through his years at Sybase, Tony has held many roles including Principal Consultant; District Manager Western Canada, Sybase Professional Services; General Manager, Sybase Canada Sales; and Canadian Technical Manager.
Mr. Chris Baker is a Sybase Principal System Consultant based out of the Sybase Canada's Mississauga office with 20 years experience in the IT industry. In his 13 years working with and at Sybase, he has worked with all Sybase products.
Mr. Christophe Dufourmantelle founded Novalys in 1998 and has run the company from that time onward. Before this, he was an Oracle Consultant and also developed for a software department at a French IT company.
David Wiseman is the "Director of Business Development" at Sybase. Mr. Wiseman is responsible for managing the Sybase / IBM partnership and the Sybase Analytical Appliance business line worldwide. He has spent ten years at Sybase managing technical sales and marketing in North America. He has also worked in sales at IBM and managed software development programs for the US Navy. Mr. Wiseman holds an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill - and a B.S. in Computer Science from The University of Mary Washington.
Mr .John Strano is a Sybase Technology Evangelist and a charter member of TeamSybase. He has been using PowerBuilder since 1991 and has authored articles for multiple industry periodicals. John has presented Sybase tools on an international basis since 1997. Over the last 15 years John has developed a variety of PowerBuilder applications from single-user scaling up to enterprise-class, web-based projects.
