Sybase as announced that the latest version of their RAD .Net development tool known as PowerBuilder will be released on September 12, 2008. The new version 11.5 includes many new features and will also be bundled with the Application Server PB-Plugin and mobile development "cousin" PocketBuilder as well. This will now empower the Enterprise licensed developer to deploy PB components to various application servers like jBoss, WebSphere, etc and also to Windows Mobile equipped devices.
Version 11.5 feature highlight examples include such things as: Support for Oracle 11g and SS2008; PowerTip text on all DataWindow components; Gradient colour support, 3D (DirectX) graphing; Federal Desktop Core Configuration compilancy, new .Net features, etc. For a full description of this product release, please follow this link (click here).
