Please note that the Software Tool & Die (STD Inc) Foundation Classes
for PowerBuilder, InfoMaker, EAServer and PocketBuilder were temporarily
unavailable on CodeXchange (except for PK in the PocketBuilder section). The
old Foundation Class link is still there - but you will receive a disk error
if you try to follow that link. Sybase will be cleaning this up shortly.
A new project called the "STD-Foundation-Classes" has just been created
within the PowerBuilder section of CodeXchange for my various frameworks. I
have created four sub-sections: InfoMaker, PocketBuilder, PowerBuilder and
EAServer. I then sub-divided those into release numbers. This is because
each product version of an STD FC matches its corresponding Sybase product
version. The FC's check for this relationship at run time as part of their
system-to-system controls design.
I have also loaded into each section a corresponding example application
built from a corresponding FC. For PK and PB it is the "OrderEntry"
application and for EAServer the "eStore" (ASP.Net) web application (using
the web DW housed inside of EAS). There are also readme files in the
corresponding folders plus in the FC Zip downloads. In the EAServer FC's I
have included and extensive "Installation guide" and PowerPoint slides
outlining the architecture being used.
I hope you enjoy these FC's and I apologize to those who have been
trying to access these over the past month.
